It's a game that I think has both some big positives and some disappointing negatives.

Nostalgia is something we all deal with, but it can actively mess with our perception of what makes a good game and how modern games...well...are.
Posts like Reviews, Thoughts about the industry, new Series about whatever has been on my mind, and articles about Why I do or think something!
But when a game is in development hell, sometimes you just have to release it.
Refinement is far more important.
But only if you like bad games *nose grows*.
With some massive caveats.
And why it should be a priority for developers that want to make ultra-difficult games.
It managed to become that after being a game I had only heard of a couple weeks prior. It just really is that amazing of an experience.
But does a game that is almost expertly designed to teach the Metroidvania genre still hold up after all these years, and for someone who has recently already learned how to play Metroidvanias.
There is so much that it does so well, and it also introduces a new feature that desperately needs to be in all other games in the genre. It truly stands tall among it's genre brethren.
I had a very personal experience with Gris and it made me feel things that I wasn't expecting. It connected with me more than I ever thought it would.
That gets infinitely better if you mod it.
And what I learned from the very stressful experience.
Developing a game is hard and there's a lot of ways to trip up, so taking these 5 lessons to heart is very important.
